Though I understand the meaning of this post and how we shouldn’t be blind to the negatives that have happened under RBG. I think we could have a little more tact about the fact that a lot of people are scared and RBG was a small light in the dark. This post, I feel, was made to spread hate and fear during a time that most of us already feel hated and fearful. Please remember that she was human and to be human is to err, she was not a saint, she was not a god, she made judgements that were unpopular but she was great and she gave many hope. For those wondering what to do, call your representatives have them uphold past decisions and the dying wish of a great lady and Supreme court justice

Supreme court justices are not your friend. Senators are not your friend. Presidents and mayors are not your friend. Policemen and soldiers are not your friend. At best, they are folks you have given temporary power contingent on them not fucking up, and when they fuck up, you take that power away.
This liberal-ass mentality of putting politicians on a pedestal and creating parasocial relationships with them keeps us trapped in situations where we continue to extend power to these people even after it has become clear that they can’t be trusted to wield it. (And, as an anarchist, I think it’s very often a bad idea to outsource the forces that control the whole future of society – especially permanently, and especially to people based on how good they look on TV and how easily they can be fit into image macros.)

I live in vietnam and the number is actually that low lmao vietnam has closed down schools and universities and started online learning since feb. they have praticed social distancing and lock down for 20 days now. The government literally spent billions to put tourists in quarantine for free to health check them everyday for fourteen days to make sure community spread doesn’t happen. They’re willing to risk the economy as long as the people are safe. Like you do know vietnamese people have access to the internet right???
